What they say"It don't even look patched."
Our Process

A permanent bond, engineered in four stages.

Each pothole is rebuilt — not refilled — through a controlled sequence engineered for Chicagoland freeze-thaw winters and summer heat.

01

Sub-base Prep

Debris removed, edges squared, and the underlying aggregate compacted to give the patch a structural foundation.

Cross-section of the multi-layer pothole patch02

Polymer Cold-Pour

A multi-layer polymer chemically bonds to the existing asphalt edges — no loose-gravel fringe, no soft spots.

03

Road Patch

A thin polymer sheet is rolled over the repair, overlapping the border to cover the crack around the edge — like a tire-tube patch.

04

Hydrophobic Hyper-Seal

Our proprietary hydrophobic spray bonds to the flush surface and perimeter, locking out water completely so the repair lasts.

The science

Understanding road failure & permanent repair.

Most patches fail because they don't address what happens beneath the surface. We rebuild the road from the sub-base up — then lock it in with our proprietary hydrophobic hyper-seal so water never gets back in.

Four-panel cross-section diagram: water infiltration, freeze-thaw destruction, polymer road patch, and hydrophobic hyper-seal
01

Water Infiltrates

Unsealed cracks around a cold patch let rain soak straight into the sub-base. Once the foundation is saturated, the road begins to crumble from below.

02

Freeze-Thaw Destroys

Water trapped beneath the surface expands as it freezes, creating expansion pressure that fractures the asphalt and pushes the patch back out.

03

Polymer Fill + Road Patch

The cavity is filled with polymer cold-pour, then a thin road-patch sheet is rolled over the top, overlapping the border to seal the crack around the edge — no seam left exposed.

04

Hydrophobic Hyper-Seal

The final step: our proprietary hydrophobic spray bonds to the road patch, forming a translucent waterproof shield that blocks water completely.

The difference

Why it beats traditional cold patch.

Generic cold patch is a temporary plug. Its edges crumble the moment temperature shifts or water seeps in — and the pothole comes right back. Ours is built to disappear and stay gone.

Seamless controlled edge

Polymer bonds chemically to the surrounding asphalt — no loose fringe, no lip for tires to chip away.

Hydrophobic nanoparticle shield

Our proprietary hydrophobic hyper-seal repels moisture at the molecular level, stopping the freeze-thaw cycle that creates new potholes.

Multi-temperate durability

Formulated for Chicago summers without softening and Midwest winters without cracking.

Drive on it the same day

Cold-pour cures fast. Driveways, lots, and roads stay in service.

No Patch at All: a flush rectangular polymer sheet patch sealed seamlessly into the asphalt
No Patch at All
Clean rectangle. Polymer sheet rolls over the cavity and bonds flush — no exposed edge for water or tires to grab.
A traditional cold patch with crumbling edges, loose aggregate, and a raised lump in the middle
Standard cold patch
Loose aggregate dumped into a hole. Ragged edges, open seams, cracks already radiating outward — failure baked in on day one.

Edge analysis

Water gets in at the edge. That's where potholes are born.

Every cold-patch failure starts the same way: a hairline gap between the patch and the surrounding asphalt. Rain pools in that seam, soaks into the sub-base, and the next freeze-thaw or heavy axle pops the patch right back out. No Patch at All eliminates the seam entirely — the polymer sheet rolls over the cavity and bonds flush with the road, like a tire-tube patch on an inner tube. No edge, no entry point, no comeback.

Open, ragged, porous. Water seeps in within hours of the first rain.
Our flush edge
Polymer-bonded, hydrophobic-sealed, level with the road. Nothing to seep into.
The system, in cross-section

Four engineered layers. One permanent repair.

A fiberglass-reinforced bituminous sheet embeds into the roadway to form a waterproof, plow-resistant bond, then we finish it with our proprietary hydrophobic hyper-seal — a translucent shield that locks out water for good.

Frequently asked

Questions about the patch system.

The details that property managers, public works crews, and homeowners ask most often before scheduling a repair.

Will the patch hold up against a snow plow?+
Yes. The patch has performed through multiple Midwest winters, freeze-thaw cycles, ice, and snow. When installed to spec, plows do not dislodge it — it is engineered to become part of the pavement.
How long does the road have to stay closed after repair?+
It doesn't. The roadway can be opened to traffic immediately. Vehicle weight actually helps embed the patch into the surrounding asphalt.
How long does a typical repair take?+
Most potholes are repaired in 10–20 minutes, depending on size and conditions. Larger or irregular areas use overlapping patches with a 3" minimum overlap.
Does it bond to both asphalt and concrete?+
Yes. The bituminous backing bonds to clean, dry asphalt or concrete. In cooler conditions we either heat the surface or apply an approved primer before installation.
Can it be installed in rain or snow?+
No. The pavement surface must be clean and dry for proper adhesion. We schedule around the weather to guarantee a long-lasting bond.
Is the surface slippery? What about traction?+
The aggregate top surface behaves similarly to a chipseal treatment — it provides solid friction for vehicle and foot traffic and wears in over several years.
Can it be milled or sealed over later?+
Yes to both. The patch mills up cleanly with standard pavement milling operations, and it can be top-coated with driveway sealer, slurry seal, or chipseal.
How thick is the patch?+
Nominal thickness is 1/8" to 3/16", so the finished repair sits essentially flush with the surrounding road — no lip for tires or plows to catch.
What does the hydrophobic hyper-seal actually do?+
It's our proprietary topcoat that bonds to the patch and surrounding asphalt, forming a translucent shield that repels water at the molecular level — so the freeze-thaw cycle can't restart the failure underneath.
